About[]
Anita is Carl's mean wife. She calls him weak. She first convinces Carl to take Wendy's deal to buy their casino, but after she sees her rivals go up in flames, she decides to back out of the deal. But due to the clever plan that Ruth came up with, Wendy forces the Knarlsons to sell her their casino, but won't sell the adjacent hotel. Even after Wendy tries to blackmail her and Carl, by closing down the casino, and messing up the only revenue stream the Knarlsons had left, Anita still won't taking the deal and sell Wendy their hotel; as originally promised in their verbal agrement. Wendy invites Carl to the same dinner and booth she sat in when she handed over the bag of money that got Cade Langmore killed. She manages to convinces Carl to have a conversation about the deal with Anita. The next day, Carl tells her he's putting his foot down and that she is demanded to go along with the deal on his orders. Anita gets mad and calls Carl out for being weak and tells him she should have married his brother instead because he was tougher and taller. As she does this, Anita keeps poking Carl in the head, which makes him slap her hand away in frustration, causing her to lose her balance and subsequently falling over the small wooden safty rail that Carl was sitting on; and she tumbles down a steep hill into the water of the river. It is unclear if it was the fall and tumble that killed her, or if she drowned afterwards due to being knocked unconscious. In any case, Carl leaves her for dead and just walks away like nothing happend.
