Ozark is a Netflix original series created by Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams.
Economic advisor Martin "Marty" Byrde (Jason Bateman) suddenly relocates the family — which includes his wife, Wendy Byrde (Laura Linney), and two children, Jonah (Skylar Gaertner) and Charlotte (Sofia Hublitz) — from the Chicago suburb of Naperville to the summer resort community of Osage Beach, Missouri, after a money laundering scheme goes wrong.
Marty must make an effort to appease a Mexican drug cartel by setting up a bigger laundering operation in the Ozarks. However, when the Byrdes arrive in Missouri, they become entangled with local individuals, including Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner), Jacob Snell (Peter Mullan), and Darlene Snell (Lisa Emery).

The third season of Ozark was nominated for nine 2020 Emmy Awards in the Drama Series category and won one: Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series — Julia Garner as Ruth Langmore (for the episode "In Case of Emergency").
