Grace is Mason's wife and mother to Zeke Young.
Although Grace is married to Mason, who is a pastor, it is hinted at that she does not believe in god.
It is possible that Grace knew, and was friendly with the Snell's her whole life as Jacob referred to her as 'Gracie June'.
As a result of Mason refusing to preach on the water in "The Toll", she is murdered by the Snell's and her son Zeke is cut out of her belly.
