Synopsis[]
Their deal with the FBI is now dead, the Byrdes desperately search for more solutions to their growing problems. Wendy's father comes to town.
Plot[]
Marty tries to convince Wendy that their deal with the FBI is tarnished with Javi dead, but Wendy insists on finding a way to salvage the family's future.
The FBI recommends that the Byrdes go into witness protection, but Wendy instead plots to get Navarro extradited back to Mexico to resume control of the cartel. Navarro is initially irate upon hearing of Javi's murder, but ultimately agrees to Wendy's gambit, deciding to take credit for Javi's death as a means of regaining prestige in the cartel.
Marty decides to travel to Mexico to temporarily assume command of the cartel's operations. Navarro's priest, Father Benitez, visits Wendy and suggests that he wants Navarro to remain in prison. Meanwhile, Wendy's father Nathan arrives in the Ozarks and hires Mel to investigate Ben's disappearance. Mel enlists the help of Maya, who has been demoted at the FBI after arresting Navarro.
The day after Wyatt's funeral, Clare visits Ruth and offers to buy heroin shipments from her, disillusioned with the Byrdes. Clare calls Wendy to cut ties with her right before Marty departs for Mexico with Father Benitez and Nelson.
