Wendy goes to Blue Cat bar to picked up Charlotte when she and Rachel had a tense argument about the latter robbed their money and run away. Later at home, while Buddy takes Jonah for a walk, he suddenly falls to the ground due to his heart condition getting worse, forcing Wendy to take him to the hospital. After a few hours, Buddy leaves the hospital against the doctors' recommendations since he doesn't want to die there. Marty gets a call from Mr. Beecher from the gaming commission who told him that he can't give the recommendation to build the casino since the applications are not complete. Beecher told Marty to meet him in Golden Ridge to give him an "additional information." Marty considers bribing Beecher, but Wendy suspected that it was a trap, which is true since Roy forced Beecher to refuse Marty's proposal.

At the lake, Charlotte and Wyatt smoke weed together when Charlotte inadvertently reveals that she and Marty were at the dock when Russ and Boyd died. Rachel has sex with a customer at the bar and repeatedly calls him Marty to annoy Roy who is listening on the wire. Wyatt goes to the dock to check the wiring that has been fixed, raising his suspicion on Marty. He confronts Marty at the bar and questions him, asking whether he was at the dock that night. Marty confirms that he was at the Blue Cat, but nowhere near the dock. Marty then scolds Charlotte for telling Wyatt what happened that night. Rachel and Marty have another argument in which she reveals that a customer, Roy, that Marty saw before, was a fed. That night, Roy takes Rachel to the forest and threatens to kill her if she reveals his identity again. Begging for her life, she maintains that it will gain Marty's trust.

At the Byrde house, Mason angrily confronts Marty and, throwing a pile of money at him, says that he doesn't need it.

The next day, Marty and Wendy meet Beecher at Golden Ridge. Things seemingly go perfectly as the Byrdes offer Beecher some Grateful Dead concert tickets with backstage passes that "they can't use." Before they go any further, Wendy decides to end the transaction and takes Marty with her, telling him that she just had a bad feeling. At Lickety Spitz, Sam is trying to build a relationship with the stripper Jade when a commotion erupts in a private room. Cade refuses to pay the stripper for the private dance, saying it wasn't worth anything. When Sam tries to defuse the situation, Cade punches him, forcing Ruth call the bouncers to kick Cade out.

Later that night, Rachel meets Ruth at the Blue Cat and they play horseshoes. Making conversation, Ruth inadvertently reveals that Marty also has the cartel's money at his home, resulting in FBI raiding the house in the morning while the Byrdes are still asleep.
